South Africa NRCS Issues Acceptance of IEC 62368 Standard

On April 1st, 2021, The Electrotechnical Business Unit of National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) in South Africa announced that it has begun accepting the SANS/IEC 62368-1 standard as an alternative standard for SANS/IEC 60950 and SANS/IEC 60065 standards.
This means, the applicant can provide test reports refer to SANS/IEC 62368-1 or SANS/IEC 60950 without a declaration of equivalence issued by the testing laboratory, when applying for NRCS LoA for Information Technology (ICT) Equipment.
