Kenya - CAK Issued Public Consultation on Draft Guidelines for Mobile Cellular Devices

The Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) have started a public consultation on "Draft Guidelines on Features and Technical Specifications for Mobile Cellular Devices imported into and distributed in Kenya" on March 23rd, 2021.
The content of the draft mainly involves the following aspects:
1.Identification of Mobile Cellular Device
2.External Features of Mobile Cellular Device
3.Battery and Power Requirements
4.Radiation Safety Standards and SAR Requirements
5.Operating Frequencies of Mobile Cellular Device
6.Radio Interfaces Requirements
The consultation will be opened until April 23rd, 2021, during which all parties concerned can submit their opinions and comments to CAK.
