Mexico IFT Opens Public Consultation for the 57~64 GHz Band
The Mexican RF Regulator - Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT/IFETEL) has issued a public consultation on the draft technical regulations for the 57~64 GHz frequency band on March 16th, 2021.
The contents of the draft technical regulations mainly include:
1.Fixed-field disturbance sensors with a bandwidth equal to or less than 500 MHz that operate within the 61~61.5 GHz segment, must operate with an average EIRP not exceeding 40 dBm and a maximum EIRP that does not exceed 43 dBm.
2.Fixed field disturbance sensors with a bandwidth equal to or less than 500 MHz that operate within the 57~64 GHz band, with the exception of the 61~61.5 GHz segment, must operate with an average EIRP that does not exceed 10 dBm and a maximum EIRP not exceeding 13 dBm.
The consultation will be opened until April 20th, 2021, during which all parties concerned can submit their opinions and comments to IFT.
