Indonesia's KOMINFO Issues New Regulation On Telecommunications Equipment Standards

On July 25, 2024, the Minister of Communication and Informatics (Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika - KOMINFO) of Indonesia issued Keputusan Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Republik Indonesia Nomor 352 Tahun 2024 (Decree of the Minister of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia Number 352 of 2024), updating the Indonesian technical standards for telecommunications equipment and/or mobile telecommunication devices based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) and International Mobile Telecommunications-2020 (IMT-2020) Standards. 

This regulation aims to standardize the technical requirements for devices operating under 4G and 5G NR networks within Indonesia, including specific frequency bands for various telecommunications devices, ensuring compliance with Indonesian standards.
