BIS Releases IS/IEC 62368-1:2023 Standard for AV and ICT Equipment Safety

Recently, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) officially released the IS/IEC 62368-1:2023 standard, establishing safety requirements for Audio/Video (AV) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment. This update aligns with the IEC 62368-1:2018 standard and replaces the previous IS 13252 (Part 1) and IS 616 standards.

Please note that BIS has yet to release official implementation guidelines, including the mandatory date or details on transitioning existing BIS-approved products.
