Indonesia Wi-Fi 6 GHz Certification Requirements in 2026

According to “KEPUTUSAN MENTERI KOMUNIKASI DAN DIGITAL REPUBLIK INDONESIA NOMOR 12 TAHUN 2025,” the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Digital has established phased requirements for the acceptance of test reports related to the certification of RLAN devices operating in the 5925–6425 MHz spectrum (Wi-Fi 6 GHz).

1.     Before January 15, 2026:

Wi-Fi 6 GHz test reports shall only be issued by the Balai Besar Pengujian Perangkat Telekomunikasi (Telecommunication Equipment Testing Center of Indonesia).

2.     After January 15, 2026:

Applications for Wi-Fi 6 GHz certification must include a test report issued by one of the following, which must be accredited for testing RLAN devices operating in the 5925–6425 MHz band:

a.     Indonesia’s domestic test laboratories

b.    MRA-recognized laboratories (laboratories that have a Mutual Recognition Agreement with Indonesia)

Please also note that according to “KEPMEN KOMDIGI NO. 13 TAHUN 2025,” the accreditation of DJID overseas laboratories will end on December 31, 2026. If no further guidance or decree is issued by the authorities, foreign test reports may not be accepted for DJID certification applications beginning in 2027.
