Vietnam Issues WWAN EMC Standard (QCVN 86:2025)

On December 31, 2025, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Vietnam issued Circular 52/2025/TT-BKHCN, introducing a new national technical regulation for WWAN electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN.

Circular 52/2025/TT-BKHCN will take effect on February 15, 2026, mandating QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN to replace the old standards (QCVN 86:2019/BTTTT and QCVN 18:2022/BTTTT) starting January 1, 2027.

The circular also confirms that EMC requirements for GSM (2G/2.5G) will cease on September 16, 2026.
