Indonesia Opens Band 41 for LTE and 5G NR

The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia recently issued Decree No. 569 of 2025, which introduces updated technical standards for cellular telecommunications devices based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) and International Mobile Telecommunications-2020 (5G) technologies.

A key update in this new regulation is the formal inclusion of technical standards for the 2.6 GHz radio frequency band, covering both LTE Band 41 (b41) and 5G NR Band n41 (n41).

Decree No. 569 of 2025 officially replaces the previous KM No. 352 of 2024 and will take effect on January 19, 2026.
