India Identifies 6425-7125 MHz as IMT Frequency Band
On 31 December 2025, the Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing (WPC) of India officially announced the "Spectrum Roadmap for 6G Services," which identifies two significant frequency ranges for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) as part of a strategic "Short Term Planning" phase (2025–2026).
The two identified mid-band frequency ranges are:
• 6425–6725 MHz
• 7025–7125 MHz
Please note that as of today (15 January 2026), the usage of the delicensed Wi-Fi band (5925-6425 MHz) has not yet been officially announced by the authorities.
