BIS Extends Implementation Deadline for IS 302 (Part 1): 2024
On January 21, 2026, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) announced a one-year extension for the mandatory implementation of the revised safety standard IS 302 (Part 1): 2024 (aligned with IEC 60335-1:2020) for Adapters for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances.
