India Grants Temporary Exemption for LAN Switch Test Parameters
On April 30, 2026, the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India issued a temporary exemption for certain Fibre Channel test parameters on LAN switches (including products such as Fabric Interconnect and SAN switches) under MTCTE. The exemption is valid until July 31, 2026, and manufacturers must confirm via declaration that their LAN switch devices do not support the exempted parameters in order to qualify.
