Vietnam Proposes 900 MHz IMT Band Expansion for 4G/5G
The Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) of Vietnam recently released a draft circular amending Circular No. 04/2024/TT-BTTTT. The draft expands the 900 MHz allocation from 890-915 MHz / 935-960 MHz to the full 880-915 MHz / 925-960 MHz range to better support 4G (IMT-Advanced) and 5G (IMT-2020) standards. These amendments are scheduled to take effect on September 16, 2026.
