BIS Updates Scheme-II Licence Validity
On May 27, 2026, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) announced that licences under Scheme-II will now be granted for five years, with renewals also set for another five-year period.
Annual fees for granting, renewing, and maintaining licences must be paid in advance. Late submission of annual fees or production reports may result in the certificate being suspended, deferred, or cancelled.
