Brazil CONAMA Issues Resolution on RoHS Regulatory Framework

On July 10, 2026, the National Environment Council (CONAMA) of Brazil adopted Resolution 516/2026, aiming to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) sold in the Brazilian market.

 

The restrictions on ten hazardous substances will be implemented in four phases:

0.1%

 

The resolution has been published in the Diário Oficial da União and entered into force on 10 July 2026.
