Indonesia Opens Public Consultation on Draft Decree for Telecommunication Equipment Technical StandardsOn July 7, 2025, the Ministry of Communication and Digital of Indonesia has launched a public consultation on the Draft Decree regarding Telecommunication Equipment that Must Meet Technical Standards.The draft outlines telecommunication devices and equipment that must comply with technical standards, based on the HS code. Please note that even if specific devices/equipment are not listed, they must still comply with the relevant certification requirements in Indonesia as long as their specifications are regulated. The Decree will take effect 30 days after finalization. The public consultation will close on July 20, 2025. -

Indonesia Opened n50 for 5G NRRecently, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) of Indonesia announced the new regulation "Keputusan Menteri Komunikasi Nomor 204 Tahun 2025" for Broadband Wireless Access (BWA), aligning with global 5G standards under IMT-2020. The decree specifies the use of the n50 frequency band (1432-1517 MHz) for 5G NR operations in Time Division Duplex (TDD) mode. Additionally, the channel bandwidths shall comply with ETSI TS 138 101-1. -
